On March 20, 2024, the School of Computer Science held a symposium for foreign exchange students at the Party and League Activity Room in the Seventh Academic Building. Liu Yunxiang, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Computer Science, attended and presided over the meeting. Five exchange students from Egypt, Turkmenistan, and France, as well as a student counselor, participated in the meeting. The symposium involved in-depth exchanges with the exchange students to address their difficulties and provide assistance.
At the beginning of the meeting, the exchange students primarily discussed topics such as adapting to study life in a foreign country, overcoming cultural differences, and enthusiastically shared their learning experiences in China and the process of building friendships with Chinese students. One of the exchange students mentioned their strong interest in front-end development and shared their enthusiasm for this technology trend, discussing how they could utilize their learning opportunities in China to deepen their skills in the field of front-end development. Another student mentioned their achievements in CAD learning. Additionally, another exchange student mentioned funny anecdotes about their interactions with Chinese classmates and the assistance they received from them in their studies. The students' speeches inspired attendees to contemplate the role of technology and innovation in education.
During the meeting, Liu Yunxiang patiently listened to the exchange students' speeches and provided specific and in-depth suggestions for the difficulties they encountered in their studies, lives, and future plans. His meticulous approach to problem-solving and providing insights earned widespread praise from the exchange students. He expressed that the school attaches great importance to the academic progress of exchange students in China, their interactions with Chinese classmates, and their future learning directions.
